How to Import Presets into Fractal Axe-Fx III, FM3 & FM9
Share
Fractal units use the free FM Edit (FM3/FM9) or Axe-Edit III software to manage presets. Here's how to import new tones.
Step by step
- Install FM Edit or Axe-Edit III and connect your unit by USB.
- Unzip the preset pack (files end in .syx).
- Open the editor's preset manager and choose Import, or drag the .syx into a preset slot.
- Save to the unit — the presets are ready.
Tips
Match the firmware the pack was built on where possible, and back up your current bank before importing.
